encouraged to be involved in the ministry of the church. One of the
ways everyone can take part is by serving with others to carry out the

SESSION - The local church governing body is the Session which is
made up of 12 elected representatives of the congregation. These
members serve as chairs of the various committees in the life of the
church.

BUILDING & GROUNDS
- Responsible for matters relating to the use and care of the
church property. - Oversee the maintenance and repair of the church building and
grounds to keep it clean and safe for maximum use and comfort. - Session members: Bert Gernentz and Dale Stucki
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
- Responsible for matters relating to religious education
sponsored in whole or in part by the church. - Develop and carry out a comprehensive Christian program for
all ages, including children, youth, and adults. - Session members: Jean Egbert and Lucy Boxrud
FINANCE & STEWARDSHIP
- Responsible for matters relating to the provision of adequate
funds to carry out the church programs as developed by the
Session and other standing committees. - Session members: Ron Ward and Ian Scheerer
FELLOWSHIP & MEMBERSHIP
- Witness in word and deed to the good news and that others are
welcome to join the Christian community. - Provide ways for persons to know and be known; to care and
be cared for; and to learn from one another. - Session members: Marilyn Olson and Samantha Braschler
MISSION
- Interpret the church's mission to the congregation and provide
avenues for the congregation to respond. Includes
international, national, synod presbytery, and local mission. - Session members: Jennifer Beck and Bill Thomas
DEACONS
- The office of Deacon as set forth in scripture is one of
sympathy, witness, and service after the example of Jesus
Christ. It is the responsibility of the Deacons to minister to
those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any
who may be in distress. - Members of the Board of Deacons: Jim Foster, Doug Fryer,
Harley Slaikeu, Connie Gotzman, Mavis Waleski, Jane Ward,
Rick Eastling, Beth Gernentz, and Don Olson.
WORSHIP AND SACRAMENTS
- Responsible for matters relating to congregational worship
services. - Make recommendations regarding the times and places for
congregation worship to the Session. - Session members: Scott Halverson and Chris Rayner
RISK EVALUATION AND INSURANCE COMMITTEE
- Advise and assist the Session in its Christian stewardship of
church assets. - Responsible for making recommendation to the Session for
optimum insurance coverage. - Session members: Dale Stucki and Bert Gernentz
